The assistant secretary of the Army for Manpower and Reserve Affairs visited the 7th Mission Support Command as part of her visit to the U.S. Army Europe area of operations Sept. 15.
Debra S. Wada came to the 7th MSC to meet with leaders, Soldiers and civilians to give and receive feedback on Army Reserve programs and policies and understand the Army Reserve’s specific role and missions under USAREUR.
Wada was briefed by the 7th MSC command team and then attended a town hall meeting with 7th MSC Soldiers, civilians and family members.
“Thank you for your service,” Wada told the Soldiers during the town hall meeting, adding thanks to civilians and family members who serve in Germany.
“It can be challenging living overseas, away from family, friends and traditional support networks,” Wada added.
She answered questions from the Soldiers and civilians in attendance about topics ranging from health care to civilian hiring practices and the effect of budget cuts for Installation Management Command and civilian hiring.
