Baumholder observes Hispanic American Heritage Month

A Hispanic fashion show, presented by children and adults from the Baumholder community, was one of the highlights of Baumholder’s Hispanic American Heritage Month celebration Sept. 28 at the Heart of the Rock Dining Facility on Smith Barracks. The day’s program also included an inspirational presentation by Col. Francisco Ruiz, Baumholder Dental Clinic commander, about what it means to be Hispanic and of the great importance Hispanics place on family values. There were also rhythmic Hispanic dance performances by Inessa Leskoval and Mark Word. The afternoon was rounded off with free Mexican food courtesy of the Mexican Cantina in Einsiedlerhof.
