For the 11th time, the village of Berglangenbach, which belongs to the Baumholder Union Community, will hold its annual farmers and arts and crafts market Sunday.
About 100 regional farmers and vendors will present their wide range of products and merchandise. The offer will include local fruit and vegetables, wines, schnaps, liquors, bread and cakes, honey, marmalade, wurst, cheese, pasta, oil and vinegar. Artists will present their handcrafted items, including wooden toys, decorations, ceramics, artificial flower bouquets, and wreaths and baskets.
Craftsmen such as smiths, turners, goldsmiths and basket makers will demonstrate their skills.
The market will also highlight a vintage tractor show and animal show with farm animals and birds of prey. Children can enjoy rides on ponies and a merry-go-round.
Farmers and vendors will offer all kinds of food specialties: fish brötchen, fried potatoes, egg rolls, gyros, steaks, flammkuchen, waffles and cakes.
Regional music associations will entertain the audience. To get to Berglangenbach, take autobahn A62 north to Freisen, then L133 direction Baumholder, which turns into L384 direction Berschweiler/Fohren-Linden. Turn left twice until getting to L347.
