Boy Scouts conduct Scout Expo Saturday

The Boy Scouts of America will be conducting a Scout Expo from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Kaiserslautern Military Community Center in the Army and Air Force Exchange Service main exchange courtyard.

The Scouting Expo activities will include informational demonstrations on Scouting, as well as interactive games and challenges. There will be an opportunity to meet Scouts and leaders, play games, enjoy treats, and get acquainted with other Scouts and family members.

All families and youth from 6 to 21 years old will be represented. Boy Scouting Packs, Troops and Crews will be demonstrating the latest techniques in European camping, high adventure and skills.

Tiger Cubs is for first grade boys and focuses on introducing boys to Scouting and strengthening family relationships.

Cub Scouting provides fun with a purpose for boys in second through fifth grade.

Boy Scouting is for boys in sixth grade through 18 years of age and is a program that offers effective character, citizenship and personal fitness training for youth.

Venturing is for both young men and women (co-ed) ages 13 through 21, which focuses on even more challenging high adventure activities.

Barbarossa District in the KMC serves more than 700 youth living in the area.
