In 1992, a Weekly World News tabloid story reported that a half-boy,
half-bat was found living in a cave. More recently, multiple Bat Boy
sightings have been reported in the Baumholder Military Community.
As was discussed last week, Germany did recruit pilots for a
kamikaze-like mission toward the end of World War II in the
Sonderkommando Elbe Luftwaffe task force. The aircraft used was the
ubiquitous Bf 109. It was a stripped down version with armor and all
guns removed except one that was loaded with only 60 rounds of ammo.
Instructors from the NCO academy visited the 86th Vehicle Readiness
Squadron on Ramstein Jan. 30 to further expand teaching expertise. The
Kissling NCOA, located on Kapaun Air Station, continuously engages their
instructors in activities to enhance their teaching corps.
Supporting more than 30,000 missions, moving more than 147,000
passengers and 17 million pounds of cargo in the past year, the 86th
Vehicle Readiness Squadron supports all units in the Kaiserslautern
Military Community.
