The 86th Airlift Wing hosted events in honor of POW/MIA Remembrance Week, Sep. 11-15. The events included a remembrance week breakfast, a 24-hour ruck march, and a memorial retreat ceremony. The events honored those U.S. service members who were prisoners of war and those who served but never returned home.
Nearly 80 years after World War II, onlookers gathered at Eindhoven Air Base on Sep. 16, to watch a memorial flight that captured the spirit of valor and sacrifice that defined one of the war’s boldest airborne operations.
