Nature park in Freisen holds medieval market

The Nature Wild Park Freisen will hold its 15th Medieval Market Saturday and Sunday. The park team will go back in time presenting all the eras of the Middle Ages in the fest area covering over 600,000 square feet. A medieval town made up of about 600 tents will be set up housing approximately 2,000 actors.

Gartenschau sponsors summer night fest

The Gartenschau Kaiserslautern will celebrate its annual summer night fest Saturday. Starting at
6 p.m., the whole park will turn into fest grounds presenting musicians, a light show with fire and food specialties. Bands will perform on stages near the entrance, on Kaiserberg hill and in Neumühlepark.

A medieval curtain wall and Baroque buildings will set the stage for the annual Stadtmauerfest, or town wall fest, today through Monday in Freinsheim.

Lake fest with music at Ohmbachsee
Ohmbachseefest, Seefest, features musical performances on three stages, fireworks displays, a torch ride on the lake and eating and drinking specialties today through Sunday. Bands performing include Funhouse plays P!nk, Brassmachine, Katana, Insantiv, Lineout, Fused, From da Soul and Impact. Children can enjoy bouncy castles, face-painting and air balloon arts. A slackline park has been set up to test balancing skills. Hours are from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. today, noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday. The three-day tickets costs €9; one-day tickets are €5. Visitors are not allowed to bring drinks. Dogs are not allowed after 6 p.m. For details, visit www.seefest.de.
