March is the month to say goodbye to winter and hello to spring. In the
Pfalz area, several towns and villages observe various traditions to do
just that.
A traditional Easter market will take place from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. in Niederkirchen Sunday.

Easter markets and displays are scheduled to take place in the coming
weeks. The first event will be the annual Easter egg display, sponsored
by the Westpfalz Werkstätten in Siegelbach from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday. This year

Langlaufgemeinschaft Sickingenstadt Landstuhl to put on a
German-American Friendship Run March 20 in Landstuhl.
The Model Train Friends Westpfalz sponsor its 36th Model Train Swap Meet at the Haus des Bürgers in Ramstein-Miesenbach Sunday.
The Westrich Fasching parade,
featuring 17 carnival associations, 24 walking groups and 22 floats,
lured more than 25,000 spectators to Ramstein-Miesenbach on Fat
Tuesday. The KMC was represented by various military leaders, the U.S.
Air Forces in Europe Band, Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, the Ramstein High
School Step Team and the 86th Construction and Training Squadron with a
decorated truck.
