A horse farm will show how animals celebrate Christmas. The Goldway Pipers will play music before the Kaiserslautern Zoo will open its petting zoo from 5 to 7 p.m. The school orchestra of the Kurpfalz Realschule will perform 6 to 8 p.m.

High wire acrobat Falko Traber, dressed as Santa Claus, will present a Christmas high wire show at 3 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Thursday and Dec. 15 at the Christmas market in Kaiserslautern. Children can sing him a Christmas song and will receive gifts in return.

The Christmas market in Otterberg takes place Saturday, Dec. 10 and 17. The market set up in front of the Abbey Church opens at 4 p.m. and features various music bands on stage.
