Recently, some friends of mine and I were sitting around at a motorcycle
rest stop in Johanniskreuz after an afternoon of riding our bikes. The
majority of us being experienced riders and all of us being Motorcycle
Safety Foundation Rider Coaches, we eventually began to talk about
safety, new riders and mishaps.

As an Air Force officer charged with the responsibility of leading
morale and welfare programs for Ramstein, I often get asked,

My tour as the 3rd Air Force commander comes to an end today during the
change of command ceremony. Needless to say, I will miss working
alongside all the outstanding Airmen and civilians in 3rd Air Force, as
well as all of the joint partners and host country civilians that I
interacted with every single day. I will miss visiting you where you
work and hearing about your accomplishments, as well as your challenges.
I will miss living in Europe and visiting the many sights that others
can only hope to visit one day. I will miss taking advantage of all of
the services available on the magnificent installations provided by our
Air Force, and operated by 3rd Air Force Airmen.

Most, if not all, organizations are guided by fundamental principles as
envisioned and espoused by their leaders. These principles may be
referred to as focus areas, themes, tenets, priorities, etc. Regardless
of the nomenclature, they help provide an organizational compass or
framework within which to operate.
