Air Combat Command first sergeant
As a new first sergeant at Little Rock Air Force Base, Ark., I was at a
staff meeting when a chief, the mission support group superintendent
and great personal
mentor, gave us a heads-up about a small trash detail requirement to
clean up after the Fourth of July fireworks display. As we filed out at
the end of the meeting, I made what I considered an innocent, trivial
remark to the chief.

Grace was smiling and waving as she stepped off the bus. She looked both ways and started skipping toward me, but in an instant she was gone. Grace was lying on the ground almost 100 feet away. She cried out in pain for her mother and begged for someone to please help her.

QWhy does the
traffic light on Ramstein near the 723rd Air Mobility Squadron Cargo
Terminal not work for motorcycles? Motorcycles
coming to the light and making a left hand turn will sit there until
another car pulls over the strip in the road to activate the light
signal.

The KMC has a huge mission and does a phenomenal job in making that
mission happen every day. Our jobs include technical work that must be
completed with the utmost care and attention to detail.

I am so proud to be part of a community that gives back the way that the KMC does with volunteer hours. Each year, the KMC volunteers more than 300,000 hours, whether it is visiting with injured troops at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center, mentoring school-aged children, helping the USO or one of the several other outstanding volunteer programs we have.
