Letter to Airmen: Excellence in All We Do
The new year is upon us and promises to be as challenging as the past
year, because a nation at war knows no rest. Our Air Force has been at
war for more than 16 years, and we must plan for more.

U.S. Air Forces in Europe celebrates its 65th anniversary. The oldest,

The loss or theft of a Department of Defense ID card is a serious
matter, one that represents a significant security risk to the U.S.
Forces in Europe. Each time an ID card is lost or stolen, the chance of
an unauthorized individual obtaining access to our installations
increases. It is therefore essential that cardholders take extra
measures to protect their ID cards.
A while back, I read an article in a management journal that compared
the process of producing quality diamonds to producing a good manager.
In the diamond mining business, it takes more than 250 tons of rock to
produce a one-carat diamond.
