1st Lt. Jeffery Jerschina, medical-surgical nurse with the 212th Combat Support Hospital transports a simulated casualty while testing for the Expert Field Medical Badge at Baumholder, Dec. 16, 2019. The 421st Multifunctional Medical Battalion hosted the training and testing from Dec. 2-19. The EFMB is one of the most difficult and prestigious Army special skill badges to earn with a fiscal passing rate below 20%.

Fifteen transitioning service members from throughout Europe graduate from the Department of Veterans Affairs’ Warrior Transition Advancement Course at a ceremony Dec. 19, 2019 at Sembach Kaserne. Fourteen Soldiers and one Airman attended the 10-week course to learn skills needed to become Veterans Service Representatives and handle VA disability claims.

Once again, the City Image Maintenance Kai­sers­lautern (Stadt­bild­pflege) published a new edition of the “Gar­bage Guide of the City of Kaiserslautern” for 2020. The garbage guide provides important information for English-speaking citizens on topics such as waste reduction, recycling, re-use, and disposal of waste for the entire municipal area on a total of 32 pages.
