Members of the 1st Combat Commun-ications Squadron, using the Air Force
Smart Operations 21 initiative, improved post-deployment inspections.
The inspections are part of a critical process required to ensure that
all returning equipment is properly prepared to deploy again. Changes
made to the post-deployment process are a direct result of the
squadron

After an extended hiatus from flying, one of Ramstein
Members from two regional flying organizations, Luftsportverband
Rheinland-Pfalz and AeroClub Saar, recently met with the 86th Airlift
Wing Flight Safety Office to exchange safety information regarding U.S.
Air Force aircraft and German civilian aircraft operating in the
airspace around Ramstein Air Base.
Remember these rules: Only on-base residents are allowed to use
dumpsters in the housing areas; trash should be put inside the
dumpster, not on the ground by the dumpster; bulk garbage should be
placed outside the night before pick up, not earlier; bulk garbage
should not be placed on top of underground dumpsters.
During Fasching season there will be an increased number of traffic controls and DUI checks performed by German Polizei.
Unbeknownst to most of Team Ramstein, a tri-state contingent of nearly
60 Air National Guardsmen finished a 10-week tour of duty Jan. 11, with
the 38th Airlift Squadron where they
