With school back in full swing, school activities are sprouting up
again. One activity at Ramstein High School is devoted to helping
elementary school students deal with a deployed parent.
An allowance is a certain amount of money given on a regular basis. It
is a great way to get children to learn the value of money and basic
money management skills they will need later in life.
It was standing room only as the 21st Theater Sustainment Command and
Kaiserslautern High School renewed their partnership by signing a
proclamation just before the KHS Hispanic Heritage Month celebration
Oct. 14 at the Galaxy Theater on Vogelweh.
Ramstein High School senior Mark Davis has recently been recognized as a
National Merit Scholar semifinalist. He is the only one out of more
than 1,000 students at Ramstein High School to receive this distinction.
While approximately one-third of the 50,000 worldwide American entrants
will become finalists in the program, this award is highly regarded and
can result not only in recognition, but scholarship awards as well.
Children from the Ramstein school district received a treat Aug. 15 when
a retired Air Force astronaut came to visit and talk about his most
recent trip to space.
