They wear cowboy hats, ride bulls and attract hundreds to their rodeo events throughout Germany. They are the Kaiserslautern Rodeo Team, a club that has been active in the KMC since the 1970s.

USAFE Athlete of Year nomination deadline approaching

The Athlete of the Year award program recognizes the top male and
female athletes in the Air Force. In U.S. Air Forces in Europe,
athletes are nominated by the bases and forwarded to HQ USAFE where
packages are judged by an impartial panel. USAFE nominees are then
submitted for competition at the Air Force level.

RAHS fall sports tryouts

Ramstein American High School JV and Varsity volleyball tryouts begin
at the high school gym 3 to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday to process fall sports
paper work only, followed by tryouts from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Tryouts
continue from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Thursday and on Aug. 25. Ramstein high
school fall sports practices for cross country, football, golf and
tennis are 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Monday.
