She was a shy kid, always trying not to be in the spotlight. Even after she joined the Air Force, most of her co-workers would describe her as reserved. It wasn’t until she watched a video of other service members performing in a body building competition that Tech. Sgt. Heather Baldwin saw her calling.

The Health and Wellness Center now provides water jogging classes at the Aquatic Center. The classes are available to KMC members who suffer from injuries preventing them from running. HAWC instructors train participants on underwater drills that consist of jumping jacks, 25 meter running drills, cross country drills, mountain climbers, upper body circuit training and more. Water jogging is a low impact exercise that allows participants to stay active and maintain fitness while recovering.
