The Kaiserslautern Pikes continued their dominating run through the
Regionalliga Center League with a 54-12 win over the Ravensburg
Razorbacks June 4 at Pike Stadion.
The 2010-2011 season saw Ramstein enjoy its greatest season since its
inception back in the 1980s. The team that consists of U.S. Army and Air
Force, Royal Air Force, and French Air Force players, began its
pre-season campaign back in August under the tutelage of new head coach
Cpl. Clive French, NATO Military Police, who laid a huge emphasis on
skills and game knowledge from the outset.
Behind another 300 yard rushing game by Tech. Sgt. Eric Walton, the
Kaiserslautern Pikes survived an offensive shootout against the
Albershausen Crusaders, 35-34. The Crusaders had an opportunity to take
the lead with two minutes left, but the go-ahead field goal hooked left,
which allowed the Pikes to run out the clock and move to 4-0.
