Senior Airman Joseph J. Butvilas won Airman of the Year. Staff Sgt. Johnny C. Smith won NCO of the Year. Master Sgt. Stephen Yantachka won Senior NCO of the Year, 1st Lt. Jonathan M. Weadon won Company Grade Officer of the Year. Lt. Col. Jack T. Knight, Jr., won Field Grade Officer.
In the 2004 communications and information awards, Capt. Thomas A. Leith won for the CGO category and Maj. Matthew A. Kilgore for FGO. Master Sgt. Stephen Yantachka won the Outstanding Information Assurance Professional Award. Staff Sgt. Johnny C. Smith won the Communications-Computer Systems Outstanding NCO Award and Senior Master Sgt. Kathleen E. Hoke won for the senior NCO category. Tech. Sgt David G. Martin won the Information Management Outstanding NCO Award and Senior Master Sgt. Richard A. Lee won for senior NCO. Master Sgt. Robert M. Blevins won the supervisor category and Senior Airman Vanessa M. Perner won the technician category for the Lt. Gen. Leo Marquez Outstanding Comm-Electronics Maintenance awards.
Captain Leith, sergeants Hoke, Lee, Blevins, Yantachka and Smith and Airman Perner also won their categories at the Allied Command Operations level as well.
In the 2004 Outstanding Active Duty Intelligence Awards, Tech. Sgt. Charles W. Kimbley won for NCO. Master Sgt. Brian D. Weihe won for senior NCO. Maj. Kathleen F. Amponin won for FGO. Lieutenant Weadon won Maj. Gen. John S. Patton Outstanding Intelligence Officer. Master Sgt. Melia J. Bethea won the Outstanding Security Forces Flight staff-level senior NCO and Staff Sgt. William D. Yates won for flight-level NCO.
Other awards, Master Sgt. Milton Thompkins won Aerospace Control and Warning Technician senior NCO. Capt. Lane B. Goss won logistics CGO. Master Sgt. Randy D. Ymker won services senior NCO.
In the Lance P. Sijan Leadership Awards for CC-Air HQ Ramstein, Lt. Col. Mark D. Moore won for senior officer, Capt. Jeffrey A. Bound won for junior officer, Sergeant Hoke won for senior enlisted and Master Sgt. Paul D. Brown won for junior enlisted.
