Classes and training
The Kaiserslautern Transition Center periodically holds pre-separation briefings and quarterly pre-retirement briefings. These briefings are held at the Transition Center located on Kleber Kaserne, Bldg. 3245, Room 6. The pre-separation briefings are held the first Tuesday of the month and should be attended between 60 and 90 days out from separation date. Any Soldier considering retiring should attend the Pre-Retirement briefing. Reservations are not necessary for the pre-separation briefing. Anger and stress management classes begin March 11. The four-week class meets from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. in Bldg. 2121, Room 313 (medical clinic). Call 479-2370 or

The Airman & Family Readiness Center, in conjunction with Service Credit Union, offers a “Managing Your Money” class from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday in the A&FRC classroom. Learn effective discipline for children ages 2 to 12, and learn how to handle difficult behavior such as whining, teasing and sibling rivalry. Learn to strip, maintain and rebuild a motorbike from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesdays at a
fully-equipped location. During the next 15 weeks, a qualified and experienced mechanic will teach how to strip, maintain, upgrade and rebuild motorbikes. Employee Assistance Program-Substance Abuse Training for all Department of Army
civilians is 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the Learning Center, Bldg. 3718 at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center. This counts as one hour of the three-hour annual requirement for Department of Army civilians. This training will focus on the impact of addiction on families. SKIESUnlimited offers individual flute lessons for children and teens. Sessions will be held Wednesdays at the Landstuhl Youth Center. Students can learn new techniques and control, as well as progressive studies and music. Recitals are held twice a year in the spring and fall. Chapel news
The KMC Catholic Service is accepting bids for the contract positions of Ramstein Catholic lifeteen music director and Catholic religious education coordinator. Music director duties include leading the choir and lifeteen band for the 5 p.m. Sunday Mass, special holidays and for other services as needed. Previous directing experience is preferred. The position of education coordinator encompasses the needs of children from preschool through fifth grade as well as sacramental preparations. The chapel will be accepting bids until 4 p.m. Feb. 20. The Statement of Work for the position can be picked up at the North Chapel from Monday to Friday. For more details, call 480-5753.
