Chicken fest in Queidersbach

Queidersbach will start its 41st chicken fest with the traditional “Frühschoppen,” or early morning beer, at 10 a.m. Sunday at the Heissenberg festgrounds. Up to 400 chickens at a time will be barbecued on self-made beechwood grills. In the afternoon during coffee and cake time, the band Barbara and Dirk will perform. During this fest, visitors can also participate in a beer mug lifting contest.
