Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Army Gen. Martin E. Dempsey and USO entertainers arrive at Ramstein Dec. 12 to visit with U.S. service members, civilians and contractors during a scheduled USO holiday tour. Those accompanying the chairman included Washington Nationals first baseman Adam LaRoche, “Duck Dynasty” cast members Willie Robertson and Jep Robertson, Grammy award-winning singer and songwriter Bridget Kelly, former New England Patriots offensive tackle Matt Light, actor and comedian Thomas “Nephew Tommy” Miles and former correspondent for NBC’s “The Voice” Alison Haislip.
Maj. Gen. John R. O’Connor, commanding general of the 21st Theater Sustainment Command, greets Gen. Martin Dempsey, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Dec. 12 on Ramstein. Dempsey traveled to Europe on a USO tour in order to meet with service members and discuss issues ranging from pay and retention to fitness and quality of life.
