Domestic Abuse Victim Advocacy Services: If you are 18 and over, and are in an abusive relationship, advocates are available to support you. Advocacy services are available 24/7. During duty hours an advocate can be reached at 06371-46-2370 and after hours at 0173-628-4624. Advocates provide supportive services and can assist with safety planning, assessing for imminent harm, connecting with community resources and information on reporting options.

ASACS is a comprehensive program providing prevention education and counseling services to 11- to 19-year-old ID card holders in the military community. ASACS’s mission is to provide comprehensive counseling services to adolescents and military families stationed OCONUS while enhancing military readiness and quality of life. In addition, ASACS offers Life Skills classes that promote health and personal development in the Department of Defense schools. We participate in supportive activities related to military life transitions as well as provide individual, group and family counseling services. ASACS counselors’ offices are located in Department of Defense schools for the convenience of military families. ASACS counseling services are completely confidential. Hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday to Friday; however flexible appointment times are available to meet the needs of military families.

MFLCs are licensed clinical providers who assist service members and their families with issues they may face throughout the cycle of deployment to reintegrating with their family and community. The MFLC Program provides short-term, non-medical counseling support for a range of issues including: relationships, crisis intervention, stress management, grief, occupational and other individual and family issues. Psycho-educational presentations focused on issues common to the military family including: reunion/reintegration, stress/coping, grief/loss and deployment/reintegration.

Meetings
The Rheinland-Pfalz International Choir, under the direction of Ms. Jennifer Hsiung, is currently accepting new members for its fall and winter season. This international choir, founded in 1986, shares a passion for choral music and cultural diversity. Please consider sharing your talents and make a joyful noise with us! Domestic Violence Awareness Month: October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month and therewith Army Community Services will be hosting events throughout the community to raise awareness. Oct 1: Domestic Violence Awareness Month Kickoff at the KMCC Food Court on Ramstein beginning at noon to include a moment of silence. Hello America: First Thursday of the month from 9 to 10 a.m. This class increases knowledge of American culture, customs, and language for all foreign-born spouses moving to the United States. This class will also increase knowledge of local customs, and traditions, as well as areas such as dining, shopping, local currency, health care differences, and conducting business. Spouses Host Nation Orientation: Every 3rd Thursday of the month from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Gain a better understanding of German culture and customs in this hands-on, community oriented program. Learn DOs and DON’Ts while experiencing the city of Kaiserslautern and navigating the bus system. Registration is required and must be made at least one day prior to the event.
Smooth Move Workshop: Every 4th Thursday from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Are you ready to PCS to a new location? This informative class provides detailed information about the Permanent Change of Station process. Topics covered are relocation stress factors, special assignments, shipment of household goods and more. Class meets at Kleber Kaserne, Bldg. 3210, Room 227.
Sponsorship Training: Every 2nd and 4th Tuesday from 3:30-4:30 p.m. This course will help you fulfill the role as a sponsor for incoming personnel. Units sending students to training are required to pre-register with ACS to ensure that a unit specific sign-in roster is available. This training is open to Soldiers, civilians and spouses who will act as sponsors. Class meets at Kleber Kaserne, Bldg. 3210, Room 227.
Spouse Sponsorship: Every 4th Thursday from 9-10 a.m. This course will help spouse sponsors fulfill their role as a sponsor for incoming spouses. This is a family-friendly version of our regular Sponsorship Training. This session is specifically scheduled during the school day and is held in a location for spouses who must attend with young children. Class meets at Kleber Kaserne, Bldg. 3210, Room 227.
Baby Bumps: Passport to Parenting: Learn all about parenting in this ‘Social and Learn’ series for expecting parents with the New Parent Support Program (NPSP) through Army Community Service (ACS). This class meets the last two Wednesdays of each month. Join other expecting moms and dads to socialize and discuss various topics to include: pregnancy, labor & delivery, newborn care, life with a newborn, your growing baby, healthy pregnancy, relationships and support and other topics.
