Month of the Military Child Calendar of Events

A calendar of the Month of the Military Child lists a series of free events hosted by CYS (Child and Youth Services) in partnership with Family and MWR organizations throughout the month of April to celebrate and recognize military children and youth. These events are also in honor of Autism Awareness and Child Abuse Prevention Month. These events are listed on baumholder.armymwr.com. Military Spouse Appreciation Month

The U.S. Army Garrison Rheinland-Pfalz Family and MWR has several events planned to celebrate spouses in the Baumholder and Kaiserslautern communities during May, Military Spouse Appreciation Month. AER Campaign 2nd Annual Golf Tournament

The Rolling Hills Golf Course is hosting the Army Emergency Relief Campaign 2nd Annual Golf Tournament Friday, May 12 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the golf course, Bldg. 8888 on Wetzel Kaserne in Baumholder. Register by May 10, which can be done by calling the golf course at 531-3408/09 or 0611-143-531-3408/09. This event is open to the public. Cost is $40 per person. Armstrong’s Club to Host Mother’s Day Buffet

Armstrong’s Club will be hosting a Mother’s Day Buffet May 14 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Reservation deadline is May 12. The cost of the buffet is $27 for those who are 18 and older, $15 for ages 12 to 17, $5 for ages 6 to 11, and free for children under the age of 5. Jekyll and Hyde, The Musical Performance

Laughs Deployed Comedy Show

Comedian Sid Singh returns to Kaiserslautern to headline the Laughs Deployed Comedy Show April 14 from 8 to 10 p.m. at the Kazabra Club, Bldg. 2057 on Vogelweh. The show will feature Ghana Comedian Kofi Sarfo, and the special quest will be Reese, who retired from the Air Force and now works as a government civilian with the USAG-RP. Adventures in Bookland

Looking for a fun and interactive way to celebrate National Library Week and the Month of the Military Child? Army Volunteer Recognition Ceremony

The ACS Army Volunteer Corps will host the USAG Rheinland-Pfalz Volunteer Recognition Ceremony on April 21 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Armstrong’s Club in Building 1036 on Vogelweh Housing. This event celebrates the exceptional contributions made by volunteers throughout the Garrison in 2022. All Department of Defense ID Cardholders are welcome to attend this free event. Warrior Challenge 5K Run

The Fitness, Athletics and Aquatics Program is proud to host a free Warrior Challenge 5K run with exercises on April 22 from 8 to 10:30 a.m. at the Hall of Champions Physical Fitness Center, Bldg. 8105, on Smith Barracks in Baumholder. Participants can register for this “Spartan-style” 5-kilometer run between 8 to 8:55 a.m. The safety and course briefing will take place at 8:55 a.m. The run will commence at 9 a.m. For more information visit baumholder.armymwr.com.

Yoga Basics Class

Looking to enhance your well-being and try something new? Join the Yoga Basics workshop on Saturday, April 22 from 10 a.m. to noon at Pulaski Massage & Yoga Studio. Intramural Unit Level Softball

The Kaiserslautern Intramural Sports Program announces the registration for the upcoming Intramural Unit Level Softball Season, April 27 to May 16. Letter of Intent is available at the Kleber, Sembach, Landstuhl and ROB Physical Fitness Centers. These letters of intent must be submitted by the mandatory coaches meeting, which will be May 17 at 7 p.m. at the Kleber Fitness Center, Bldg. 3235/3234 on Kleber Kaserne. Baumholder Intramural Unit Level 2023 Softball Season

The Baumholder Intramural Sports 2023 Softball Season registration will take place April 27 to May 16. Interested participants can obtain letters of intent at the Hall of Champions Physical Fitness Center, Bldg. 8105 on Smith Barracks. This event is open to ID Cardholders aged 18 years and older, excluding those with High School or CYS affiliations. Officially Establish Your Golf Handicap at Rolling Hills Army Golf Course

The Rolling Hills Army Golf Course now offers the chance to officially establish your handicap through the United States Golf Association and Texas Golf Association. The handicap runs from January to December each year and costs $26. Health and Wellness Coaching

Yoga and Massage Studio now offers health and wellness coaching with a board-certified Family Medicine and Lifestyle Medicine physician. The 45-minute sessions begin in January and end in May and will be held Monday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 1:15 p.m., and Wednesday from 10 a.m. to noon.
