Baumholder Did you Know?

The USAG Rheinland-Pfalz Family & MWR is hosting a new program called “Baumholder Did you Know?” This exciting program is designed to help newcomers explore all the Family & MWR programs available in Baumholder, such as service centers, childcare, education, library, recreation, sports and fitness, hospitality, social and dining. Family & MWR Newcomer’s Scavenger Challenge

The USAG Rheinland-Pfalz Family & MWR is hosting a Newcomer’s Scavenger Challenge for the Baumholder Military Community. This exciting challenge is designed to help newcomers explore all Family & MWR programs available in Baumholder. Participants will receive a special passport listing all the programs, and can collect stamps at each facility visited to participate with a chance to win a $150 MWR Gift Card. Choreography Workshop

KMC Onstage is proud to present a free Contemporary Choreography and Movement Workshop, Dec. 9, 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the KMC Onstage Studio in the Kaiserslautern Community Activity Center, Bldg. 3109 on Daenner Kaserne. Registration is open now through Dec 6. Those interested must register in advance through WebTrac on Kaiserslautern.armymwr.com or by email to kmc-onstage@army.mil. This workshop is for ages 12 and older. Guest Instructor Luisa Sancho Escanero, who has worked with dance companies all over Europe and currently serves as artistic director of the Tanzensemble Pfalztheater Kaiserslautern, will show students how to approach choreography and movement as tools for storytelling and conveying emotion. Prior experience is not necessary. This workshop is highly recommended for actors, directors, dancers and choreographers.

Armstrong’s New Year’s Eve Celebration

The Armstrong’s Club is hosting a New Year’s Celebration Dec. 31 at 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. Jan. 1 at the club, Bldg. 1036 on Vogelweh Housing. The event features karaoke, DJ Mixes and dancing. The event is free. For questions, please call the club at 541-9115 or 061-11-143-9115.

Strike Into the New Year

The Strikers Bowling Center is offering “Strike into the New Year” special from Jan. 2 to 4 at the bowling center, Bldg. 8105 on Smith Barracks. The special includes discounted bowling rates of $15 an hour and half price shoe rentals. Red Pin bowling on Jan. 2 and 3. Glow bowling will happen Jan. 4. Registration not required. Ruthless! The Musical Auditions

The Award-Winning KMC Onstage is hosting auditions for the Ruthless! The Musical Auditions Jan. 6 & 7 p.m. at the KMC Onstage Studio, Bldg. 3109 on Daenner Kaserne. This hilarious musical takes “Toddlers and Tiaras” to a very dark, VERY funny place. Casting roles for up to six women (one traditionally played by a male actor) and two girls. Auditions are open to ages 8 and older. Actors of all races, genders, and ages encouraged to audition! Vocal Audition: Come prepared with 32 bars (60 seconds) or less of music to sing. Donuts with Santa

Bring the whole family to the Baumholder Library, Bldg. 8332 on Smith Barracks, as St. Nick makes his appearance for the holiday season at Donuts with Santa Dec. 6 from 3 to 5 p.m. Santa will read a few of his favorite books, then there will be photos with Santa, seasonal crafts and sweet holiday treats. Disney Beauty and the Beast Jr.

The Award-Winning KMC Onstage presents Disney Beauty and the Beast Jr. Dec. 6 to 8, and Dec. 13 to 15 at the KMC Onstage Studio, Kaiserslautern Community Activity Center, Bldg. 3109 on Daenner Kaserne. Shows are Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday at 2 p.m. “Be our guest” for this “tale as old as time”! American Sign Language for Beginners

The Landstuhl Library is hosting an American Sign Language for Beginners sessions Dec. 7 and Dec. 14 at 3 p.m. at the library, Bldg. 3810 on Landstuhl Post. Adult and young adult beginners are welcome. Those interested must register by Dec. 5. Please register by emailing landstuhllibrary@army.mil.

Bringing the *Magic* to the holidays

The Baumholder Warrior Zone is hosting Bringing the *Magic* to the holidays Dec. 7 at 6:30 p.m. at the Warrior zone, Bldg. 8218 on Smith Barracks. This is a free event for all Magic the Gathering players. Be sure to bring your own commander deck and join in on the fun. 6 on 6 Dodge Ball Tournament

The Hall of Champions Physical Fitness Center is hosting a free Dodgeball Tournament Dec. 7 starting at 8 a.m. at the Hall of Champions PFC, Bldg. 8105 on Smith Barracks. The tournament will be a 6 vs 6 bracketed tournament. Each team roster will be limited to seven players (six players plus one substitute). All players must be 18 years or older. Team captains meeting is Dec. 7 at 8 a.m. The tournament will start immediately after the meeting. Tournament format will be a double elimination bracket up to 16 teams. If more than 16 teams, the bracket will be single elimination. Awards for first through third place.

SKIES Gymnastics

Enrollment is now open for SKIES Unlimited gymnastics for ages 1 to 18 in the Kaiserslautern Community. SKIES One-Day Soccer Camps

SKIES Unlimited is offering a Fall Indoor Soccer Camp for youth ages 2 to 16 on Saturday, Dec. 21, at the Landstuhl Youth Center Gym, Bldg. 93812 on Landstuhl Post. Open to all ID card holders from all branches of service. All participants must be registered with Army MWR Child and Youth Services. Youth must be registered in advance to participate. RECURRING EVENTS

Landstuhl Library Baby Brillance Storytime

Baby Brilliance Storytimes returns in September and will be held every Thursday of the month starting at 11 a.m. at the Landstuhl Library, Bldg. 3810 on Landstuhl Post. This is a fun storytime for ages birth to 18 months with songs, fingerplays and more. Signups are not required. Storytimes will not take place on Federal Holidays. Strikers Bowling Center Duty Bowl & Two for Tuesday

Duty Bowl for service members in uniform is only $5 per hour and per lane every day at the Strikers Bowling Center, Bldg. 8105 on Smith Barracks in Baumholder. All Soldiers “duty” bowling must be in duty uniform. Two for Tuesday special will be $2 per game and $2 shoe rentals from 11:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. every Tuesday.
