Annual Independence Day on the Rock

Celebrate America’s independence by attending the Independence Day on the Rock celebration June 30 from 6 to 10 p.m., and July 1 from 3:30 to 11 p.m. at the Wagon Wheel Theater, Bldg. 8125 and Hall of Champions Fitness Center parking lot, Bldg. 8105 on Smith Barracks in Baumholder. Independence Day Car Show

Baumholder and Kaiserslautern Automotive Skills Centers are hosting a car show as part of the Independence Day on the Rock Saturday, July 1 at 3:30 p.m. at the Wagon Wheel Theater on Smith Barracks in Baumholder. Those wanting to participate in the car show can register at any Automotive Skills Center (Baumholder, Landstuhl, or Pulaski.) Trophies will be awarded for 1st through 3rd place. Strikers Bowling Center New Prices

The Strikers Bowling Center, Bldg. 8105 on Smith Barracks in Baumholder, announces new prices effective Tuesday, June 13. Hourly lane rates all day Tuesday to Thursday is $20 per hour and $10 for each additional hour. Less than one hour, the cost would be the open bowling rate. Hourly lane rates all day for Friday and Saturday is $25 per hour and $15 for each additional hour. Less than one hour, the cost would be the open bowling rate. Landstuhl CYS Job Fair

Child & Youth Services are hosting an in-person job fair Aug. 8 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Landstuhl Teen Center, Bldg. 93812 on Landstuhl Post. CYS is looking to hire Child & Youth Program Assistants at Miesau, Landstuhl, Kleber and Sembach CYS locations. Applicants should bring resumes, passports, social security cards and immunization records and three professional references. 2023 Oktoberfest

USAG Rheinland-Pfalz will host one of the most highly anticipated events of the year, the two-day Oktoberfest Sep. 8 from 7 to 11 p.m. and Saturday, Sep. 9, from 1 to 5 p.m.  The event will take place at the Family and MWR Special Events Center, Bldg. 237 on Rhine Ordnance Barracks. Oktoberfest, a traditional German celebration, features live performances by the authentic German Oktoberfest Band, Bavarian Express. Open Mic/Poetry Slam

Calling all poets, artists, and deep thinkers for the Open Mic/Poetry Slam Event Friday, June 23 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Baumholder Warrior Zone, Bldg. 8218 on Smith Barracks. This event is open to individuals, 18 and older, who hold a valid U.S. ID Card, as well as their guests. Jono Duffy Comedy Show

The Kazabra Club presents the Jono Duffy Comedy show June 23 from 8 to 10 p.m. at the club, Bldg. 2057 on Vogelweh. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and tickets are only $10 at the door. Headliner Jono Duffy is an award-winning Australian comedian who is based in Paris. Local legend and KMC Onstage performer Staff Sgt Devyn Freeze brings her hosting skills to the stage at Kazabra for the first time. The show will also feature Pat Moore, from the San Francisco Bay area and who has a stand-up career in Berlin. SKIES & KMC Onstage Summer Youth Theater Classes

The SKIES Unlimited Program and the Award-Winning KMC Onstage announces the 2023 Summer Youth Theater Classes for youth ages 6 to 18 from June to August at KMC Onstage, Bldg. 3232 on Kleber Kaserne. USAG Rheinland-Pfalz School Age Summer Camps

The U.S. Army Garrison Rheinland-Pfalz Child and Youth Services School Age Programs present the 2023 “The Great SAC Adventures” Summer Camp.  The program offers 10 weeks of care services now to Aug 18. Baumholder Library Summer Reading Program Paws-to-Read

The Baumholder Library announces Paws-to-Read with Finlea, the service dog, during the 2023 Summer Reading Program “Find Your Voice.” Children, ages 3 to 12, can gain confidence, practice reading aloud and improve fluency by sharing a story with Finlea. Baumholder Unit Level Flag Football

Registration for the 2023 Baumholder Intramural Sports 2023 Unit Level Flag Football Season for Soldiers is July 6 to 18. Civilian ID Card Holders can play, but they can’t advance to the IMCOM-E Championships. Letter of intent is available at the Hall of Champions Physical Fitness Center, Bldg. 8105 on Smith Barracks in Baumholder. A mandatory coaches meeting is July 19 at 6:30 p.m. at the Hall of Champions. The season is from July 19 to Oct. 6. For more information, visit Baumholder.armymwr.com.

The Baumholder Library announces the Anime Club for those ages 12 to 16 who like reading manga or watching anime July 11 from 3:30 to 5 p.m. This club is a part of the 2023 Summer Reading Program “Find Your Voice.” Come together to do crafts, learn how to draw a character, learn about Japanese culture, participate in games, watch anime and chat with other anime fans. Flag Football Officials Clinic and Practicum Tournament

The Installation Command-Europe 2023 Flag Football Officials Clinic and Practicum Tournament will be held in the Baumholder Military Community. The clinic is July 11 to 14 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Education Center, Bldg. 8332 on Smith Barracks in Baumholder. The Practicum Tournament is July 15 at Minick Field on Smith Barracks in Baumholder. Deadline for team signup is July 7. April Macie Comedy Show

The Kazabra Club is thrilled to announce the upcoming April Macie Comedy Show July 14 from 8 to 10 p.m. Comedy enthusiasts can expect an evening filled with laughter and entertainment as the talented April Macie, currently captivating audiences as part of the Tiffany Haddish Presents: They Ready Comedy Special on Netflix, takes the stage. Joining April Macie for this special comedy event is Jen Kirwin, an accomplished stand-up comedian. Host is local comedian, Erin Crouch. The event will be held at the Kazabra Club, with doors opening at 6:30 p.m.  Cost is $10 at the door.

Officially Establish Your Golf Handicap at Rolling Hills Army Golf Course

The Rolling Hills Army Golf Course now offers the chance to officially establish your handicap through the United States Golf Association and Texas Golf Association. The handicap runs from January to December each year and costs $26. Yoga and Massage Studio now offers health and wellness coaching with a board-certified Family Medicine and Lifestyle Medicine physician.
