Summer Bazaar

Experience the Summer Bazaar, an enticing destination for shoppers seeking a variety of European delights for family and friends. Hosted by Family & MWR, the event runs from Friday, June 7, through Sunday, June 9, at the Special Events Center, Bldg. 237, Rhine Ordnance Barracks. Shopping hours span from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Wander through an array of vendors offering pottery, antiques, wine, cheese, jewelry, and more, evoking the essence of summertime bliss.  All transactions are conducted in U.S. dollars, with only debit and credit cards being the accepted forms of payment. Strong B.A.N.D.S. Campaign

The U.S. Army Garrison Rheinland-Pfalz Strong B.A.N.D.S. Campaign will showcase events for the Baumholder and Kaiserslautern Military Communities from May 1 to May 30. STRONG B.A.N.D.S. – STRONG Balance, Activity, Nutrition, Determination and Strength – promotes healthy, active lifestyles for Army communities. It helps motivate Army Soldiers, Families, Retirees and Civilians to get and stay fit. Hideaway Bistro & Grill’s New Menu

The Hideaway Bistro & Grill, located inside the Armstrong’s Club, has launched a new menu featuring mouthwatering pizzas, gourmet burgers, crispy fries, crispy catfish fillets, fresh salads, and refreshing tea and lemonade. Starting June 15, Hideaway Bistro & Grill will be handing out gift-scratch cards to their customers with prizes for their next orders: Prizes like free chocolate lava cake, two lemonades or sodas, deep fried apple pie or Oreo cookie ice cream.  Hideaway Bistro & Grill offers delivery to Vogelweh Housing, Rhine Ordnance Barracks and Kapaun gate.  Find their new menu at kaiserslautern.armymwr.com.              

Chuck’s Pub Trivia at Armstrong’s Club

Armstrong’s Club announces Chuck’s Pub Trivia every Friday from 7 to 10 p.m., Bldg. 1036 on Vogelweh Housing. This trivia is a professional, multi-media competition with different formats and puzzles for teams to solve.  This is a free event. Grand prize of $50 for the winning team, and $25 the second-place team. Youth Sports Summer Camp Registration

The Baumholder Youth Sports and Fitness Program announces registration for Youth Sports Summer Camp from June 3 to June 30. The following Summer Camps are being offered: Ultimate Sports (ages 5-15)- Fee: $30; Ultimate Golf- (ages 8-15)- Fee: $30; Basketball- (ages 5-15)- Fee: $30; Swimming (ages 3-15)- Fee: $55 and, Start Smart (ages 3-4)- Fee: $30. DJ Smooth at the Tavern on the Rock

DJ Smooth will be spinning a variety of music at the Tavern on the Rock bar the first Friday of the month  from 6 p.m. to midnight, starting June 7. There is not an entrance fee. Juneteenth Jubilee: Bowling, Freedom, Celebration

The Striker’s Bowling Center, Bldg. 8105 on Smith Barracks in Baumholder, is offering a Juneteenth Jubilee: Bowling, Freedom, Celebration June 19 from 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. This celebration is for all ages and showcases discounted bowling rates of $15 per hour, half-price shoe rentals, and “Red Pin” bowling all day. 18-Hole Golf Scramble July 20

Celebrate summer at the 18-Hole Golf Scramble July 20 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Rolling Hills Golf Course, Bldg. 8888 on Wetzel Kaserne. Registration is now and up to the shotgun start. Free Dance Lessons at Armstrong’s Club

New open session of free dance lessons every Wednesday now to July 17. The dance class starts at 7 p.m.  There will not be dance lessons from July 24 to Aug. 7, due to summer break. Kaiserslautern Outdoor Recreation is offering “Got a case of the Monday’s…Come ride it out with us!” weekly bike rides every Monday from now until  Aug. 31 from 5 to 7 p.m. throughout multiple trails, ranging from 10KM to 25KM. Trip departs and returns at Kaiserslautern Outdoor Recreation, Bldg. 2905 on Pulaski Barracks. Cost is $5 to rent a standard bike or $10 for an E-Bike.  If you are registered for the IMCOM Bike Challenge, this ride is a great opportunity to earn miles/kms towards your 1000KM! 2024 IMCOM-Europe Cycling Challenge

The 2023 IMCOM Europe Cycling Challenge is happening now until Aug. 31.  Participants must sign up through Baumholder or Kaiserslautern Outdoor Recreation. Registration fee is $50. Wibit Inflatable Obstacle Course

The Aquatic Center, Bldg. 8897/95 on Wetzel Kaserne in Baumholder, has a Wibit inflatable Obstacle Course for rent. Price for Inflatables is $100 flat fee for two hours plus the $75 an hour Pool Rental Fee. If time extends past the 2 hours, it is $75 an hour extra. Prost, Prose & Paint at Warrior Zone

The Baumholder Library and Warrior Zone want to make your spirits bright and colorful!  Join them for an evening of sip and paint with a twist of literature from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Warrior Zone, Bldg. 8218 on Smith Barracks. Dates are: Aug. 15; and Nov. 21. This event is for ages 18 and older. Beverages available for purchase. No outside beverages permitted. Strikers Salute

The Striker’s Bowling Center is hosting a Strikers Salute special for all ages May 24 and 25 at the bowling center, Bldg. 8105 on Smith Barracks in Baumholder. The special includes discounted bowling rates, $15 per hour, half price on shoe rentals, and “Red Pin” bowling all weekend. Red Pin Bowling

Red Pin Bowling happens every Friday from 4 to 10 p.m. at the Strikers Bowling Center, Bldg. 8105 on Smith Barracks in Baumholder. Bring Your Own Board Game at Strikers Bowling Center

The Pinsetters’ Pub has Bring Your Own Board Game every Friday at 5 p.m. until closing. This is a free event and preregistration is not required. All gamers, 18 and older, are welcome.
