Army Family Action Plan

Individuals can make a difference in the lives of Army Families by submitting issues for the U.S. Army Garrison Rheinland-Pfalz fiscal year 2023 Army Family Action Plan (AFAP) conference. AFAP provides Soldiers, Army Civilians, Family members, Survivors, and Retirees a voice by identifying quality of life and readiness issues for Army Senior Leadership review. Community members are encouraged to use the Issue Management System (IMS)https://ims.armyfamilywebportal.com/ for issue submissions. Submission deadline is Oct 10, 2022. “Wait Until Dark” Auditions

The Award-Winning KMC Onstage are holding auditions for Wait Until Dark Sep. 6 and 7 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Kaiserslautern Community Activity Center, Bldg. 3109 on Daenner Kaserne. SKIES & KMC Onstage 2022 Fall Theater Classes

Gridiron Challenge

The Landstuhl Community and Rheinlander Clubs are hosting a free Gridiron Challenge every Wednesday from Sep. 7 to Jan. 18. Participants must be valid ID Card Holders, ages 18 and older. Baumholder Winter Hunting Course

Baumholder and Kaiserslautern community members can hunt and own firearms by earning a life-long hunting certification in Germany by taking the Baumholder Outdoor Recreation’s Winter Hunting Course from Sep. 10 to Dec. 12 in Bldg. 8167 on Smith Barracks.  Classes are in English and are held on the weekends, Saturday and Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Cost is $250. Storytime at the Baumholder Library

The Baumholder “Iron Works” Library hosts a crafting program, “OOPS! I Craft Myself,” for ages 12, Thursday, Sep. 15, at 4 p.m. at the Library, Bldg. 8332 on Smith Barracks. This program offers children a chance to show their creativity to create crafts. These monthly sessions are seasonal or holiday projects. Family Day at the Movies

To kick off Domestic Violence Awareness month, the Family Advocacy Program will showcase a film that advertises positive roles and relationships within the family structure. The film displays functional and positive family dynamics to aid in introducing healthy relationships and positive parenting skills. Arts & Crafts Studio Time for Experienced Potters

The Arts & Crafts Center offers studio time for experienced potters. With a fully equipped studio with wheels, slab roller, kilns, and pottery tools to help you create exactly want you want. Fees are charged hourly per person at $5 for the first hour and each additional hour for $2.50. Late Night Basketball

Late Night Basketball happens the last Friday of every month from 9 to 11 p.m. at the Hall of Champions Fitness Center, Bldg. 8105 on Smith Barracks. The next one is Friday, Sep. 30.
