Several local, English-speaking educational institutions cater to the KMC, as well as home schooling groups and organizations designed to gain the maximum benefit from a combination of the home school setting and living abroad.
Agape International Academy is a Christian-oriented institution offering an ABeka curriculum for grades K to 12. Students are required to purchase and wear school uniforms. The school is approximately three minutes from Ramstein, in Ramstein-Miesenbach. The school offers before- and after-school care from 7 a.m. until 5:45 p.m. and an after-school music program. Faith Baptist Christian-oriented school in Kaiserslautern-Einsiedlerhof offers the ABeka curriculum for grades K to 6, preschool 9 a.m. to noon and before- and after-school care from 7:15 a.m. until 5:30 p.m.

Children’s Learning Academy is an early education institution offering a curriculum for ages 2 to 6. The KMC Christian Home Educators support group is a Christian-oriented home school group offering support to parents preferring to provide education in a home-based setting. DOD schools will provide and offer home-schooled DOD dependents classes and special education services, consistent with existing regulations and policy. Dependents of sponsors electing to take a single class or more must complete a registration form and comply with registry procedures and requirements. For details, contact the appropriate DODDS school office.
Local German kindergarten and elementary schools sometimes accept American students. Check with local schools to find out their acceptance policies.
