The 86th Medical Group has opened appointments for Tier 2 beneficiaries age 18 and older to receive the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine at Ramstein.
Service members, U.S. civilian employees, adult dependents, and other TRICARE beneficiaries in all tiers can schedule vaccinations using one of two websites, and personnel are now permitted to receive the vaccine at any military hospital, clinic or Department of Defense vaccination site that offers the vaccine.
Members are encouraged to use www.tricareonline.com as the primary tool to schedule appointments. After logging in, click on “appointments” at the top of the screen and select “COVID vaccination” as the appointment type. Family members and other beneficiaries enrolled in DEERS who do not have a common access card can login using the DS Logon option.
Individuals who cannot use the TRICARE website can now schedule appointments through the Defense Health Agency Appointing Portal at informatics-stage.health.mil/COVAX/. The portal is accessible from any device and does not require a common access card. Once on the website, visitors can navigate step by step to their location and select either a first or second dose appointment. The portal is solely for booking COVID-19 vaccine appointments and is not connected to any beneficiary medical records.
Please bring a completed DHA Form 207 to your appointment.
The Medical Group is opening appointments based on availability of vaccines. Members who have trouble finding open appointments should check again in a day or two as more appointments become available.
The vaccine is being administered at Building 2116, not the clinic. The building is located across the street from the Pizza Hut/Subway restaurant, near the Ramstein Recycling Center and Southside Fitness Center.
