***image1***For play season 2007/2008, the culture and conference center, Haus des Bürgers, in Ramstein-Miesenbach, just started ticket sales. From September to May, a diversified program with about 30 events including concerts, musicals, operettas, dances and speaking theater take place.
Musical dance performances:
Circus Susuma presents the “Circus Revue from Africa” Oct. 31. Dancers, musicians, acrobats and clowns present a show telling African stories performed on African instruments. Tickets cost €27, 30 and 33.
International top artists take the audience through 20 years of musicals in Germany with “Musical Fever” Nov. 28. A 16-member ensemble presents highlights from 20 musical productions. Tickets range from €32 to 40.
“The Magic Night of Dancing Musical” is a dance show with musical hits from “Saturday Night Fever,” “Dirty Dancing,” “Flashdance,” “Grease,” and others, April 19. Tickets range from €32 to 40.
Other music/rock theater performances:
“Janis Joplin – Piece of my Heart,” revives the legend of Janis Joplin and tells her story about success, fear and escape into drugs, Nov. 20. Tickets cost €19 to 25.
A band, choir and symphony orchestra present “Abba in Symphonie” with world hits such as “Mamma Mia,” “Waterloo,” “Dancing Queen,” Jan. 18. Tickets cost €33 to 40.
The Vienna Operetta Theater performs “Der Vogelhändler,” an operetta by Carl Zeller, in German, Feb. 12. Tickets cost €20 to 26.

The Trient Alpinists Choir presents the Christmas concert “Coro Maddalene” Dec. 12. Tickets cost €19, 21 and 23.
“Christmas Moments,” a Christmas show with traditional songs and pop ballads presented by 13 musicians and singers is scheduled for Dec. 20. Tickets cost €22, €27 and €31.
The Lodz Music Theater performs the traditional New Year’s concert
Jan. 6. An orchestra, soloists and ballet present a Johann Strauss Gala. Tickets cost €21, 23 and 25.
The Haus des Bürgers also presents six classical concerts, always at 5 p.m. Sundays (Nov. 4 and 25, Jan. 20, March 2 and 13). A special classic ticket is available for €48 for adults and €36 for students.
Season tickets for four or seven performances are available at reduced prices.

The culture center offers a babysitter service. Parents must let the staff know three days in advance. Children can be dropped off one hour prior to the event and are being taken care of by well-trained babysitters in the library, right next to the performance hall. Cost is €10.
