***image1***The Rheinland Inn Dining Facility dramatically improved speed and quality of food service by remodeling the serving area.

“The renovations will save up to $10,000 for repair, maintenance and parts on a monthly basis,” said Siegmund Steiner, 435th Services Squadron quality and standardization.

“The remodeling of the dining facility serving area was an idea that the staff had about two years ago,” said Senior Master Sgt. Daniel Jalbert, 435th SVS superintendent. “The equipment was constantly in repair and customer service flow could not handle the number of people we were feeding.”

There is now a double-sided salad bar, a new sandwich station and each station is also mobile, which makes it easier to clean.

“The variety of menu items has increased,” said Airman 1st Class Branan Allen, 86th Contingency Response Group information manager and regular dining facility customer.  “I don’t have to wait as long to get in and out.”

“When you walk in, you can’t decide what to eat,” said Tech. Sgt. Dennis Walton, 435th SVS production manager. “It all looks so good.”

The dining area is scheduled to be remodeled in the near future.

“We would like to add booths that Airmen can actually be comfortable in,” said Sergeant Jalbert.  “We want something that is modern and easier to maintain.”
