KMC Teen Shuttle
Child and Youth Services offer a KMC Teen Shuttle service. Pick-up/Drop-off points are located throughout Vogelweh, Vogelweh Housing, Ramstein, and Landstuhl. ID card, shuttle card, and permissions slips are required to ride the shuttle. Apply for your Shuttle Card at Parent Central Services, Rhine Ordnance Barracks, Bldg. 162, 541-9066; 0611-143-541-9066.
German classes
Introduce your children to the German language and culture through SKIESUnlimited German classes. Classes available for ages 4 to 14 at multiple locations. Private tutoring sessions are available. Voice Lessons
Children ages 8-18 can now learn how to develop a strong, healthy singing voice with SKIESUnlimited Voice Lessons! Private lessons are offered on Pulaski Barracks, Bldg. 2901 and Landstuhl, Bldg. 3819. Participants will be trained on breath control, music theory and vocal techniques. Driver’s Education for High School Students
IMCOM-Europe is proud to announce the availability of a comprehensive driver’s education program for high school students in Europe. Engineering classes
Children ages 4+ will be introduced to the fundamentals of engineering. Students will have an opportunity to build electrical engines, working draw-bridges, fully functioning cranes and basic gear boxes. Students will also be introduced to engineering concepts using pneumatic principles and equipment. All of this is done using the registered brand of Fischertechnik materials. Worksheets will be handed out so that children can expand their understanding of learned concepts outside of the classroom. Maker Fun Factory
The USAG RP Landstuhl Library is the place to be after school every Tuesday if you are elementary or middle school aged! Find yourself creating and crafting while learning STEM principles and making new friends. Theater Classes
Did you know that children involved with theatrical arts programs outscore their non-arts student peers by an average of 65 points on SAT/ACT tests? Theater provides a safe, secure environment where children learn skill sets including public speaking, coping mechanisms, reading comprehension, verbal/non-verbal communication and more. SKIESUnlimited offers “Intro to Theatre” for ages 5-12 and “Shakespeare Scenes” for ages 12 and older. Stuffed Animal Sleepover
Join the USAG RP Library Landstuhl Jan. 10 at 6 p.m. for a storytime with your stuffed animal! After storytime, tuck your stuffed animal in for their first sleepover at the library! Come by the following morning between 9 and 11 a.m. to pick up your fuzzy friend and get a report of their evening, complete with pictures showing what shenanigans they had gotten into!
