With the heating season fast approaching, and newcomers joining the KMC, we would like to highlight key facts for their new heating system:
- The heating costs increase with the room temperature setting. Heating costs rise by around 6% for each additional °Celsius/°Fahrenheit. Every degree less helps save energy and costs.
- It has been proposed that 18-20 °C (64-68 °F) can be a comfortable indoor temperature for general population.
- As a tip: Set room thermostat/radiator valve dial to 18 °C (64 F) as a starting point, and then increase by 1 degree each day until you find a temperature your family is comfortable with, taking into consideration infants and/or elderly family members.
