***image1***Secretary of Defense Robert M. Gates answers questions of national and local news representatives during a media roundtable Wednesday at Ramstein. Gen. Tom Hobbins, U.S. Air Forces in Europe commander, greeted Secretary Gates on the flightline before Secretary Gates traveled to Landstuhl Regional Medical Center, where he visited wounded servicemembers and presented six Purple Hearts. Secretary Gates  and the reporters from 10 news agencies departed Ramstein later in the day, in route to Brussels for a two-day conference of NATO defense ministers.
