From Monday to July 7, we celebrate Armed Forces/Overseas Citizens Voters Week.
This is our opportunity as American citizens living in the KMC to participate in the remaining state primaries and make a difference in the Nov. 2 general election.
In a difficult year that may directly affect you and your loved ones, your vote will count more than ever. Voting is your civic duty and your chance to weigh in on who will make the decisions that affect your life.
As your KMC voting assistance officer, I am committed to providing you with the right tools to make the voting process easy for you. Unit voting assistance counselors will be at the BX/PX on Ramstein from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. during this special week to hand out federal post card applications to all voting-age personnel and dependents and answer any questions that you may have.
“Let us never forget that government is ourselves and not an alien power over us. The ultimate rulers of our democracy are not a president and senators and congressmen and government officials, but the voters of this country.” — Franklin D. Roosevelt.
