Members of the 86th Airlift Wing and 435th Air Ground Operations Wing will begin testing their deployment readiness and capabilities in the next operational readiness exercise from Monday to May 24.
The exercise will impact some customer service facilities and roads on Ramstein.
The exercise will examine more in-depth procedures to prepare for the upcoming
operational readiness inspection in September.
Due to the focus of the exercise, various agencies will have limited services available during this time. Please schedule your appointments and routine business accordingly.
Additionally, from May 21 to 24 several roads in the southeast corner of Ramstein will be blocked off as part of the ORE (Mitchell Avenue, primarily). Signs will be clearly posted to direct individuals to detour routes around the base; however, anyone needing access to buildings in the “exercise area” may be required to park and walk a short distance.
Medical Services: The Ramstein clinics will have reduced services available from Monday to May 24. All clinics will be closed from noon to 4:30 p.m. May 21.

Post office: Ramstein Official Mail service will be intermittent and the Northside Post Office Customer Service Window may close temporarily from Monday to May 21. The Northside Post Office Finance section will be reduced to one window, increasing customer wait times up to approximately 20 minutes. The parcel pick-up window should be unaffected due to volunteers.
Flight Records: The 86th Operations Support Squadron HARM (Flight Records) will have limited manning during the ORE. They will attempt to maintain the normal office hours of 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., but they encourage customers to call
