Pay attention to standing at attention
Do you stand when a ranking person enters the room? Do you stand when speaking to that person? Military courtesy, not to mention good etiquette in general, requires us to pay proper respect to individuals at all times. Too often in today’s busy environment, we let the little things slip by us. Sometimes we think, “I’m too busy to stop what I’m doing and stand.” That is a mindset we need to break. We should never be too busy to be courteous to one another. As military members we must always show others the proper courtesy.
