The German-American Friendship Association Siegelbach offers several events in April.
Saturday at 4 p.m., members and friends meet for a game evening in the Siegelbach town hall on Erfenbacher Strasse 8. Players are asked to bring their favorite games and food. The club provides beverages.
“Kegeln,” the German type of bowling takes place from 8 to 11 p.m. April 22 at Burgherrenhalle in Kaiserslautern-Hohenecken. Participants must bring clean sports shoes.
A day trip to Bitche, France, and the Maginot-Line near Simserhof is scheduled for April 23. Participants meet at 8 a.m. at the Siegelbach Zoo parking lot to get on the bus driving to Simserhof near Zweibrücken. There they visit the underground defense installations. People are asked to bring coats since it is cold in these tunnels. For noon time, a visit of the fortress and citadel of Bitche is scheduled. Admission fees are €10 total. The bus fee is €15.
A common dinner will close out the tour in the restaurant “Zum Frauenstein” along federal street B10. Estimated return time is 8:30 p.m. Reservations are accepted by paying the total fees of €25 by April 15 to the German club president Erhard Weber. Call 06301-8327.
