***image1***“Unmask the leader in you,” was the theme for this year’s Future
Business Leaders of America Department of Defense Dependent
Schools-Europe Fall Leadership Conference, Oct. 26 in Heidelberg.
More than 200 students were present representing DODDS high schools and middle schools from across Europe.
School officials kicked off the conference telling students of the
three things necessary for successful leaders: knowledge, skills and a
committed desire to be a good leader.
The conference included a series of workshops, a game of “The
Apprentice,” and a “Dress for Success” fashion show, all geared toward
helping students learn to become better leaders. The workshops were
based on a variety of topics ranging from time management to people
skills and leadership to the U.S. Navy and college ROTC.
“I found the workshops informative, and I look forward to the spring
conference,” said Melissa Brown, a junior at Ramstein American High
School and president of the Ramstein FBLA chapter. “I recommend FBLA to
students interested in a career field having to do with business and
leadership.”
