General Hecker meets Minister President of Rheinland-Pfalz Schweitzer

Commander of U.S. Air Forces in Europe – Air Forces Africa and NATO Allied Air Command Gen. James B. Hecker met with Minister President of the State of Rheinland-Pfalz, Alexander Schweitzer at Ramstein Air Base, March 10. Hecker and Schweitzer spoke about the role of the host community in Rheinland-Pfalz and how to continue and deepen the partnership between the military and community. In addition to his meeting with Hecker, Schweitzer also received mission briefs from both USAFE-AFAFRICA and AIRCOM to hear more about the vital missions of both units in maintaining and strengthening international partnerships to promote global security. Commander of U.S. Air Forces in Europe – Air Forces Africa and NATO Allied Air Command Gen. James B. Hecker met with Minister President of the State of Rheinland-Pfalz, Alexander Schweitzer at Ramstein Air Base, March 10.

Rheinland-Pfalz is the host state for both Ramstein and Spangdahlem Air Bases and home to thousands of U.S. and international service members and their families. 

Hecker and Schweitzer spoke about the role of the host community in Rheinland-Pfalz and how to continue and deepen the partnership between the military and community. In addition to his meeting with Hecker, Schweitzer also received mission briefs from both USAFE-AFAFRICA and AIRCOM to hear more about the vital missions of both units in maintaining and strengthening international partnerships to promote global security.
