***image1***Government vehicles should only be used in direct support of military duties. The installation commander has the authority to approve written waivers with limited exceptions, but the majority of government vehicles cannot be taken to lunch, on personal errands, to personal residences or other locations not required for the member’s duties. In addition, the transportation of stationed members to and from commercial or military airport terminals is not permitted even if they are on TDY or PCS status.
