A health care version of one-stop-shopping will be available Sept. 17 at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center’s health fair.
From 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Heaton Auditorium, approximately 24 representatives will be on hand to answer any questions about military health services and benefits. Also available will be an opportunity to receive the FluMist seasonal influenza nasal spray vaccine.
“I believe the health fair will be fun, interactive and highly useful for everyone, and I encourage all military beneficiaries to come out and see what health care benefits are available to support them,” said Yvette Weber, a registered dietitian at LRMC.
Access to health care is a topic everyone is interested in, Ms. Weber said, whether they’ve been living in the KMC for years or are new arrivals just getting settled in.
For example, Ms. Weber said it’s important for everyone to understand how the process works if they’re required to seek medical care from a German doctor. Other agencies of interest at the health fair include pediatrics, pharmacy, dental, optometry, women’s health and a representative to help register people on the spot to allow them to schedule medical appointments by computer through Tricare Online.
