“Ho ho ho” back in the day – Docu Center Ramstein sends historic holiday greetings to O’Club

Museum puts some of their most treasured Christmas exhibits on display.

Santa’s sleigh and eight reindeer making a landing on Ramstein Airbase — this rare and special event made the cover of the 86th Fighter Interceptor Wing Pictorial Magazine in December 1956. Next to other neat objects that showcase Ramstein Air Base’s longstanding ties to the holiday season, it is currently on display in the Officer’s Club Lobby. Docu Center Ramstein is dedicated to the history of the presence of U.S. Military in Rhineland-Palatinate. The Center focuses on collecting and research activities. The Docu Center Ramstein pauses in winter and will reopen in March 2025.
