The one in Hochspeyer is called Eichwald. It’s at the edge of the forest (follow the signs). Parking is available around Geyersberg. The second supply station is set up near the sports field in Fischbach. Parking is available in the village center of Fischbach and near Mehrzweckhalle (community hall).

***image2***The first activity starts at 10:30 a.m. at the Eichwald supply station. Biologist Matthias Haag will present mysterious hearing signals and makes participants experience birds, grasshoppers, mysticism and legends on a one- to two-hour hike. A fee of €2 will be charged. The biologist will demonstrate these signals again at 6 p.m. At 2:30 p.m., he will do it at the sports field Fischbach supply station.

At both supply stations, visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy wagon rides through the forest.Guided tours will be offered at 2 p.m. at the Eichwald station and at noon at the Fischbach sports field station. A guide in a historical costume will inform hikers about interesting and mysterious items along the hiking path.

More costumes from the later Middle Ages, jewelry, fashion, accessories, mead and mead beer will be presented at the Fischbach sports field until 8 p.m.

At the Fischbach location, traditional and Celtic food items will be served.

Another activity location is the Frohntal-hütte, a hut in the forest. It’s located north of the other two stations. Here, children can learn about the secrets of nature. At 11 a.m., 1 and 3 p.m., they can look for hidden handmade animal motifs in the magic forest and win prizes in a quiz. For this activity, no fee is charged, but donations are accepted.
