Housing Hype: Microwave loans discontinued

The 86th Civil Engineer Squadron Furnishings Management Section, to comply with Air Force guidance and instructions, will no longer issue microwaves to off-base residents effective June 7.

Microwaves were removed from the Furnishings Allowance List per AFI in 2016. FMS continued to issue the microwaves until they were no longer serviceable or economical to repair and recondition. We have reached that point.

Therefore, FMS will discontinue issuance of microwaves to off-base residents. The KMC Housing Office apologizes for any inconveniences this may cause.
