***image1***The Unnerhaus Culture Club sponsors its 11th Jazz Music Festival July 25 to 27 at Nanstein Castle in Landstuhl.
The event will offer traditional Dixieland to big band jazz and blues, with a unique atmosphere in the inner court of the castle.
“We expect visitors from the surrounding communities as well as from all over Germany and Southwest Europe to find their way to Nanstein Castle,” said Willi Ningelgen, member of the Unnerhaus Culture Club. “It is the most interesting event to bring people and cultures together with good music, talks, local specialties and beverages. It is supported by the county commissioner, the city mayor of Landstuhl and senior commanders of the KMC.”
The event kicks off at 8 p.m. July 25 and finishes around midnight. The evening top act will be the Fantastic Boogaloo Kings, known as one of the best European West Coast Blues formations. Famous blues giants such as Luther Allison, Country Joe McDonald and Toto Cotugno joined the group in the past.
The festival continues at 4 p.m. July 26. The top acts for the night will be the Trevor Richards New Orleans Trio, featuring Simon Holliday (piano/vocal) and John Defferary (saxophone), and the group Roger and the Evolution, featuring Denise Gordon, a world famous jazz vocalist. The event will go until 1 a.m. the following morning.
