Kaiserslautern hosted a three-team match to christen its new courts on the Vogelweh campus, losing just two sets while topping Hohenfels and Vilseck. The Raiders got wins in both matches at the top of the girls’ order with Aiva Schmitz and Vicky Thais Lopez sweeping their matches and not dropping any games.
Lopez teamed with Taylor Larned to win doubles points and the Raiders had other doubles wins from the tandems of Lydia Butler / Schmitz and Gabriela Ramirez / Giulia Sanchez. Singles wins on the girls’ side also came from Larned, Butler, Terry Delany, and Avery Standiford.
In boys’ play, Mark Butler won his match against Vilseck 6-0, 6-1, then won against a Hohenfels opponent 6-3, 6-1. Luca Petritz, William Alsing, Olaitan Powdar, Randy Moon, Darren Moon, and Micah San Pedro also notched wins in both singles and doubles for Kaiserslautern in the three-team meet.
