KHS honors academic achievement

Kaiserslautern High school held its annual academic achievement awards assembly May 29. The school’s theme for this year’s ceremony was “Stellar Performers Achieving Academic Excellence.”

Held in the Vogelweh Galaxy Theater, the awards assembly honored KHS students who did exceptionally well in their classes during the 2008-09 school year.

The following students were each honored with four awards:

Janice Cunningham,Valerie Fisher, Mary Hickox, Rachael Hook and Ekaterina Tangog.

Students who received top honors with five to six awards included:

Ryan Jarnagin, Ruby Plummer, Brittany Stai and Patrick Tremaglio.

Michael Boone and Tracy Ely received the Scholar Athlete awards.
