Kingfish Swim Team announces remaining 2008-2009 schedule

The Kaiserslautern Kingfish Swim Team have announced their remaining schedule for the 2008-2009 season.  Kingfish will compete in 13 team events during the remaining season, while participating in six away meets. 

The Kingfish will host seven meets at the Baumholder Aquatics Center.  
After a fantastic start, the Kingfish will host Hohenfels Hurricanes and Wiesbaden Wahoos Saturday before heading away to face Naples swim team Oct. 26.  Kingfish will host Berlin Bear-A-Cudas, NATA, and Eifel Sharks Nov. 8 and the Berlin Bear-A-Cudas and the Northern Swim Teams Nov. 30. 
 
The Kingfish will once again compete in the Heidelberg meet Dec. 7, hosted by the highly competitive Sea Lions.  Last season, Heidelberg Sea Lions finished behind Kingfish in the European Forces Swim League Championships.

Another addition to the remaining 2008-2009 schedule includes a home meet Dec. 13 hosting Rota, Bamberg Aqua Barons, Aviano Sea Dragon, Naples Tiger Sharks and Eifel Sharks.  Kingfish will once again host the Heidelberg Sea Lions Jan. 3.
Kingfish will also face Geilenkirchen Orcas Jan. 10, which finished fourth at the 2007-2008 European Forces Swim League Championships. On Jan. 17, the divisional meet will take place at the Baumholder Aquatics Center, where all Kingfish swimmers will participate and represent the Kaiserslautern area. 

During the 2007-2008 season, the Kingfish finished first at the Benelux Divisional Championships. In the regular season, the Kingfish completed the 2007-2008 season with an outstanding record, sending 48 Kingfish swimmers to the European Forces Swim League Championships.

Right after the divisional meet, the Kingfish will compete in Berlin for the largest meet of the season, European Forces Swim League Championships Feb. 7, where the swim season will come to a close.
